The Day is Done, #43 Original air date: May 10, 2004 The
scoop: Ephram second-guesses his decision to go to New York for the summer; Harold begins a new business venture; Madison
visits Andy with some shocking news.
What's Up With Ephram: Ephram is caught off guard when Amy shows up at
his house asking him to stay in Everwood and not go to New York for the summer. Although thrilled that Amy feels that way
about him, Ephram tells her that he can't give up the opportunity to study at Julliard. Bright tries to convince Ephram that
he should stay in Everwood for Amy because she may be his soul mate and gets Ephram to rethink his decision. He asks Andy
if he should stay or go but Andy tells him that Ephram will figure out what's best for him himself. So Ephram invites Amy
on a picnic in the woods and tells her that he wants to be with her no matter what. Amy assumes he's decided to remain in
Everwood and is surprised when he tells her that he still needs to go to Julliard for himself. The two share a warm kiss and
Ephram asks Amy if she'll wait for him.
What's Up With Amy: Although Amy's sad that Ephram's leaving for the
summer she understands why he needs to go. She planned to see him off at the bus station but wasn't there to say goodbye.
However, when Ephram boards his flight to New York he finds Amy sitting in the seat next to him. She worked it out (even clearing
it with her parents) and she's going to stay in New York with Ephram for 10 days.
What's Up With Harold: Harold
decides that the best way for him to become successful again is to open up a bagel shop in Everwood. After opening day is
a complete disaster and he's left with hundreds of unsold bagels, Harold regrets his decision to buy the store. When Andy
shows up at the store that night to have a heart to heart with Harold, he isn't expecting Andy's offer. Andy tells him that
his (Andy's) medical insurance company will take Harold on as long as he isn't the sole practitioner. Andy wants Harold to
become his equal partner. Harold needs only several hours to take Andy up on his offer. What Harold doesn't know is that Andy
is holding onto quite a heavy secret.
What's Up With Andy: Madison pays a visit to Andy's office apparently
to find out how Delia and Ephram are doing. Andy senses something else is up with her and is stunned when she tells him she
may be pregnant with Ephram's baby. Before he gives her the test Madison assures him that Ephram was the only person she was
with. After confirming that Madison is definitely pregnant Andy tells her that he wants to be the one to tell Ephram. After
talking to Ephram about Amy and New York Andy can't do it. When Madison goes into Andy's office the next day to discuss what
they're going to do she asks Andy what Ephram said and Andy tells her that he didn't tell Ephram and isn't going to. He tells
Madison that he doesn't want to take what little childhood Ephram has left away from him. He's willing to pay for anything
Madison wants, any decision she makes but he insists that Ephram never find out she's pregnant. Madison is visibly upset and
tells Andy she thinks it's a mistake and that Ephram would want to and deserves to know. Andy doesn't budge and tells her
it will be his (Andy's) mistake.
