The scoop: Ephram and Madison struggle to save their relationship; Amy moves back in with her parents; Nina's ex-husband sues her for custody of Sam.

What's Up With Amy: Amy's in the process of moving out of Edna's with her dad's help when Tommy shows up. He's just been released from the hospital and he tries to convince Amy that he just made a mistake and it'll never happen again. When he sees that Amy isn't going to take him back he becomes resentful and tells her that she'll never be able to go back to being "Miss perfect" since she's been with him. Amy wishes him well and walks away. At school Amy re-enrolls in her dance class and tries talking to her former friends. It's more difficult than she anticipated; they've heard some pretty negative things about her. That night Amy goes to a diner, which is the latest local hangout and makes another attempt to reconnect with one of her old friends. The girl is hostile and tells Amy that she'll never be able to have her old life back. When Amy arrives back home she finds her parents waiting for her on the couch. Harold tells her that as he was helping her unpack he found her pack of birth control pills. Exhausted, Amy doesn't seem surprised or concerned and assures her parents that she isn't having and hasn't had sex yet. After Amy slips and tells Harold that she didn't get the pills from a clinic, he puts 2 and 2 together and realizes Andy gave them to her. The next day at school Amy is debating whether or not she should continue with her dance classes when Bright shows up and convinces her to be strong. As she heads into her class it's obvious that she and Bright are on the road to amending their sibling rivalry. Although Amy's had a miserable week, later that night she runs into an old friend who brightens things up a bit.

What's Up With Ephram: Ephram's convinced that Madison is going to break up with him but when he finally visits her he finds that she had no intention of breaking up with him. To Ephram's joy, Madison says her feelings are strong enough for him that she wants to work on their relationship. Since Madison's 21st birthday is coming up Ephram spends a considerable amount of time picking out a present for her. Madison's friend is planning a surprise birthday party for her and Ephram is to play a key role, taking her out to dinner and then getting her back to her apartment for the surprise. The surprise is pulled off and at the party Madison is whisked off by her friends as Ephram looks on. Later, the group decides to go to a bar and even though Madison's sure they'll be able to get him in Ephram stays behind. He leaves her present, a little, nicely wrapped box, on her counter. The next day Madison's waiting for him when he gets home from school. They're both solemn as they decide their relationship isn't working out and it's best to end it. Later, Ephram heads out to get some take-out and runs into Amy. Both of them feeling sad and bleak, they decide to spend some time walking together; As they're strolling and talking, both of them look more relaxed and at-ease than either of them has in a long time.

What's Up With Andy: When Nina's ex-husband comes back and tries to get custody of Sam, Andy does his best to be there for her. He testifies in Nina's favor in court, talking about what an exceptional person Nina is. Nina looks awed as she listens to Andy say such positive things about her. Ultimately the court gives Nina custody of Sam. Andy is heading over to Nina's house to celebrate when Harold pays an unexpected visit. Harold's furious that Andy gave Amy birth control pills without telling him. He tells Andy that he thought he was a decent person but he was completely wrong. Livid, Harold tells Andy to stay away from him and his family, daring him to try to approach any of them.
